History and key milestones: from a workshop to a global brand

Minotti was founded in 1948 as a small family workshop producing upholstered furniture in Meda, at the heart of the Brianza furniture district. Over the decades, the company has become a global leader in luxury furniture, while preserving its family values and commitment to Italian craftsmanship. From 2000 to 2020, Minotti firmly established its international reputation, creating iconic modular collections that have become synonymous with contemporary comfort and elegance.

For a quarter of a century, until his passing in 2023, Rodolfo Dordoni was the brand’s artistic director, shaping its distinctive style. Today, Minotti collaborates with leading international designers: Marcio Kogan / Studio MK27, Nendo, GamFratesi, Inoda+Sveje, Hannes Peer and Giampiero Tagliaferri.

Collection 2026: «A dialogue of languages, materials and forms»

The Minotti 2026 collection, presented at Salone del Mobile.Milano, is the result of «dialogues between systems, materials and forms». It includes indoor and outdoor collections, reflecting the brand’s commitment to creating harmonious spaces.

Key new additions to the 2026 collection:

  • Yves seating system (Hannes Pir design): Inspired by the art and fashion of the 70s — the work of Yves Saint Laurent and Piet Mondrian. Organic «wave-like» configurations with rounded cut-outs, refined tailoring details.
  • Nico Table (Hannes Peer design): An architectural base composed of two interlocking marble elements in the shape of the letters S and L. Sculptural minimalism and expressiveness combined.
  • Emmi armchair (Hannes Peer design): The designer’s favourite creation — a balance between bold sculpture and refined furniture. The seat appears to float above the frame.

Manufacturing and design approach: perfection in every detail

Minotti manages the entire production cycle at its own facilities in Meda: from the manufacture of frames to final upholstery. The brand invests in 4.0 technologies, automating processes while preserving craftsmanship — an integral part of Italian design.
