Tonin Casa: history, 2026 collections and prices
From a small factory in Veneto to a presence in 60+ countries — furniture with an Italian soul.
Foundation and origins: the man behind the brand
The Tonin Casa story is, above all, the story of a man. The founder, Gianni Tonin (Gianni Tonin), came to the furniture business not from architecture. In the 1970s he was a long-haul trucker, carrying freight between Italy, Russia and the countries of Eastern Europe. Those routes gave him a deep understanding of people — how foreigners perceive Italy, what they lack, how destinies unfold.
After a severe accident — a broken spine — Gianni could no longer work as a driver. It was then, in 1975, that he opened his own production under the name GT Tonin in the Veneto region — the heart of the Italian furniture industry. The first products were modest: bathroom furniture, small pieces. But the bet on flexibility and reliability paid off: while competitors demanded six months’ wait and 100% prepayment, Gianni offered something different.
2026 catalogue — Italian Artisan Beauty
The 2026 collection combines Veneto’s craft traditions with contemporary design. Ten key models — with real photos and a special Mebeltour offer. Details of seasonal promotions on the 2026 brand news.

The armchair that won at the Biennale del Cinema in Venice. Hand-stitched diamond quilting, natural leather or Bouclé fabric. An icon of the Tonin Casa collection.

“Quiet” elegance — a 6 mm Gres top, matte chrome metal. Available in 160×90 and 180×90 cm.

A sculptural table — a 12 mm wave-shaped glass top on a lacquered wooden base. A memorable graphic silhouette.

A “butterfly” mechanism — the table extends to double its size with no insert leaves. Matte glass or lacquered wood.

A modular system, Canaletto walnut and lacquered fronts. Versions with open shelves and built-in LED lighting.

An asymmetric cabinet with drop-shaped glass handles — a signature detail. Lacquered body, mirrored base.

An open modular system: a metal frame + wooden shelves. Architectural rigour for the living room or study.

The “Curl” — smoothly twisted armrests, soft padding. Natural leather or velvet to choose from.

A decorative metal frame — polished steel or matte gold. A “shield” as an object of interior art.

A series of 2–3 tables of different heights with mirrored surfaces — forming a sculptural group in the living room.

High Point Market and international expansion
High Point Market (High Point, North Carolina, USA) — the world’s largest furniture fair. Twice a year more than 75,000 professionals from 100+ countries gather in the city where the entire global furniture market is concentrated for one week. For Italian manufacturers this is the main foothold in the American market.
Tonin Casa is a permanent participant in High Point Market. The brand’s display traditionally attracts American interior buyers, designers and retailers looking for an alternative to the mass market: authentic Made in Italy with no compromise on quality. It is precisely through High Point that the distribution network in California, Florida, New York and Texas has been built.
In Asian markets Tonin Casa operates through exclusive importers in Japan, South Korea, China and Singapore. In the Middle East — in the UAE (Dubai, Abu Dhabi) and Saudi Arabia. In Latin America the brand is present in Brazil, Mexico and Colombia.
Presence worldwide
Designers and collection authors
The Tonin Casa philosophy is a dialogue between the master maker and a talented designer. The brand works with a narrow circle of authors, each of whom brings something unique to the DNA of the collections. None of them imposes a “mega-style” — each collection remains recognisably Tonin Casa while carrying a fully individual authorial signature.
Among the flagship collaborations — Angelo Tomaiuolo, author of the iconic Mivida chair and the Adone Plissé series; Archirivolto Design (Bologna) — a studio that brought Scandinavian purity of line to the collection. Artefatto Design Studio created the sculptural Wave table, while Andrea Lucatello — a master of signature ceramics and retro techniques in a contemporary interpretation.
Materials and production philosophy
Every Tonin Casa piece is made of layers: natural materials, hand processing, control at every stage. The factory deliberately does not switch fully to automation — it is precisely handwork that creates the “liveliness” for which Italian furniture is prized.

Frequently asked questions
Cattelan Italia works in the status-premium segment, emphasising sculptural metal-and-glass forms. Tonin Casa occupies the “elegant modern” niche — a warm aesthetic with wood and ceramics at comparable Italian quality. This is a conscious choice by the audience, not a compromise.
Calligaris is affordable mass-market modern with a high degree of automation. Tonin Casa uses considerably more handwork: diamond quilting (8–12 min per metre), hand-finishing of Craquelé ceramics, matching the travertine pattern — and expensive natural materials: Canaletto walnut, ash, natural stone.
The production warehouse is in Bressanvido, province of Vicenza. Showroom, offices and design centre: via Guglielmo Marconi 37, 35010 San Pietro in Gu (PD). All products are made in Veneto — 100% Made in Italy with no outsourcing.
The brand is a permanent participant in High Point Market (USA, North Carolina) — the world’s largest furniture fair (75,000+ visitors, 100+ countries). In Italy: Biennale del Cinema in Venice (Sina Hotel Centurion Palace, Mivida charity auction). Also: IMM Cologne, Salone del Mobile Milano, fairs in Japan and the UAE.
