Milan Furniture Fair 2023: dates 18–23 April
Salone del Mobile 2023: A New Concept and the Euroluce Revolution
Exhibition Salone del Mobile 2023 (18–23 April) became a landmark event for the industry. It marked a transition to a more convenient, environmentally friendly and visitor-oriented format. The main change was the relocation of all displays to one level, which significantly simplified navigation and saved visitors’ time.
Space Transformation: The End of “Classic” Pavilions
In 2023, the organisers made the bold decision to abandon a separate classic furniture pavilion. The main focus was placed on the quality of the visit and the visitor experience. This made it possible to create a more compact and eventful route, laying the groundwork for the EuroCucina biennial in subsequent years.

Euroluce 2023: Light in a New Dimension
The Euroluce lighting biennial presented an experimental format that can be divided into three key aspects:
- Contents: Light ceased to be simply a “chandelier”. In 2023, the focus shifted to architectural design, intensity control technologies and the impact of lighting on human well-being.
- Route: The traditional “chessboard” layout of the stands was replaced by a curved loop. This circular route allowed visitors to interact with all the stands while covering 30% less distance.
- Impressions: The exhibition became a cultural journey. Relaxation areas integrated with installations by contemporary artists and lecture spaces for designers were introduced.
Practical tips (archive)
Experience from previous years shows that pre-registration is the only way to avoid queues. Electronic tickets Salone del Mobile are personalised and allow up to two entries on the same day.
